From 2009 - 2016 I ran my own handbags and accessories business Myrtle & Lace. M&L had around 16 stockists across Australia and New Zealand and created limited edition and one of a kind leather handbags, wallets and scarves.
Lou & Hoo
To help keep me creative and off the couch during my maternity leave, I created, ironically, a cushion brand.
Lou & Hoo cushions were made to order, and featured people’s families (including pets) stitched on by hand. The cushions were sold online with a portion of each sale going to COPE.org.au, an organisation dedicated to improving the mental and emotional wellbeing of new mothers – a cause that no one should take sitting down.
‘Home’
Home is a collection of imperfect memories. Each a small window into a life I once lived. Created using watercolor and ink, each stamp-sized painting preserves a moment—marking the places I’ve passed through, the homes I’ve left behind, and the memories that linger in their walls.
