Mums in Ads was launched in 2021 and is a network of Mums In Ads and Mums In Ads enthusiasts that aims to tackle the underrepresentation of mothers in the advertising industry, particularly in creative departments, drive discussion around the reasons behind this and ultimately create change.  

Our first initiative was the following PR campaign to raise awareness for the motherhood penalty in Australia.

 

Following this we launched The Part-Time Pitch, which aimed to retain women in the advertising industry by asking companies to advertise all job vacancies as part-time negotiable.
